Sweet Apple Slices

Equipment

  • Mandoline
  • Baking sheet
  • baking parchment

Ingredients
 

  • 1 medium
    apple
  • 1 teaspoon sugar caster/superfine

Instructions
 

  • Slice the apple thinly. I used a mandoline
  • Lay the apple slices onto a baking tray lined with baking parchment and sprinkle with the caster sugar.
  • Bake at 200C/400F for 4-5 minutes until the edges start to curl.
  • Eat as soon as they have cooled enough not to burn you, about 3 minutes minimum.

Notes

Options
Mix the sugar with 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon, cardamom or ginger for a spicy twist.
To serve 4 simply use 2 apples and 2 tsp sugar.
