Forager's Fancy - A Blackberry Gin Cocktail

A sweet blackberry syrup, fresh mint leaves combine with gin and soda water to make a delicious and refreshing country cocktail.

  • 35 ml gin
  • 25 ml blackberry cordial
  • 8 mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup crushed ice
  • 60 ml soda water approximately
  • 1 sprig of mint to garnish


  • Bruise the mint leaves in a mortar and pestle or with the end of a rolling pin to release the oils.
  • Place the crushed mint and crushed ice in the glass.
  • Add the gin and the blackberry ordial in the glass and stir to mix. Top up with soda water.
  • Garnish with the sprig of mint.
