ROSEMARY SEASONING SALT

A very simple and delicious homemade seasoning salt made with fresh rosemary.

Equipment

Ingredients
 

  • 10 grams fresh rosemary
  • 60 grams sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Remove the leaves from 10 grams (5 tablespoons) of rosemary stems.
  • Roughly chop the rosemary.
  • Weigh out 60 grams (¼ cup) of sea salt.
  • Put the rosemary and salt into a blender or spice grinder.
  • Line a baking tray (sheet pan) with foil and spread the herb salt over the tray.
  • Bake the herb salt at 60℃ for 1 hour.
  • Remove the salt from the oven and leave to cool, then return it to the cleaned blender and blend again.
  • Store the rosemary seasoning salt in a glass jar with a lid. It makes a perfect finishing touch for roasted potatoes, grilled meats and focaccia.
