A taste of Burgundy

0shares

Welcome to a taste of Burgundy! I’ve been in the South of France for the past week, eating delicious food and taking photographs of  more delicious food which I can share with you.

The photograph above show some of the delicious patisserie on sale in Beaune in the Burgundy region of France.

I loved this piggie sign for the Charcuterie Artisanale, featuring the local delicacy of Jambon persille and Rosette au Marc du Bourgogne

Some stunning tartes in the patisserie
Macarons, beautifully presented. I’ve made macarons once, they turned out really and I really should make them again. You can read about The Great Macaron Challenge.

LOVELY and familiar photos Janice, but great to see them, and, you obviously had a GREAT time by the looks of things! I have been to same places you went and I can vouch for the foodie heaven that exists in that part of France! Happy Easter, and looking forwards to seeing more photies!

Oh wowsers. Those French certainly know how to put on a good food show. Love the look of the tarts in the first photo. Did you come back loaded with goodies?

    Happy Easter

Oh I am jealous now. I've not been to that particular region of France before but am strongly feeling the urge to book flights to visit Mum & Dad soon. Need to gorge on French cheeses, patisserie and wine, plus spend time with parents as well! 🙂

You lucky thing – it looks like a fine trip. Seeing pictures of French food always cheers me up – especially on a cold day like today.

You have got to hand it to the French – they mean business when they make patisserie, cheese and wine! If only British bakeries looked like that! Looked like you had quite the gourmet week – wonderful!

To me it looks like you had a good time. You really photographed a few things, I would go for with delight …
